Summer Lunch Program begins June 1

The Lima City Schools will again provide free lunches for children over the summer months through the Summer Food program.

Children and teens between the ages of one and 18 qualify for the summer meals. Children do not have to attend the Lima City Schools to get the lunches.

Some of the locations will serve hot meals in the schools (pick-up not available), while some others will be pick-up only. The pick-up meals will include two breakfast and two lunches.

Meals will be available at the following locations from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning June 1:

North Middle School: Pick-up only Mondays and Wednesdays until July 30

Freedom Elementary School: Pick-up only Mondays and Wednesdays until July 30

Independence Elementary School: Hot meals on site Mondays through Thursdays until July 30.

Liberty Arts Magnet School: Hot meals on site Mondays through Thursdays until July 30.

Heritage Elementary School: Hot meals on site Mondays through Thursdays until Aug. 5.

Unity Elementary School: Hot meals on site Mondays through Thursdays until Aug. 5.
