The first annual SkillsUSA Breakfast was recently held to induct officers for the year.

Lima Senior’s SkillsUSA students are in the Patient Care, Auto Tech, Engineering, Welding and Construction Trades career tech programs.

The event included remarks from Courtnee Morris, who heads Lima Senior’s Career Tech Program. President Grace Beck  inducted the other officers.

This year’s officers are:

President: Grace Beck

Vice President: Amanda “Ace” Thompson

Treasurer: Kaylyn Donovan

Secretary: Taylor Talbert

Social Media Reporter: Kiara Schroeder

 

The Lima Kiwanis club is donating a tree in honor of those being inducted. The tree will be planted at a later time at the school.

A nonprofit national education association, SkillsUSA serves middle-school, high-school and college/postsecondary students preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service (including health) occupations. Part of the organization includes competing at the state and national levels.
