Below is a letter from Principal Fran Mort on new release times that will begin Sept. 22
Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
I am writing to make you aware of a schedule change beginning next week. But first let me thank you for your support and compliance with our COVID-19 rules. This has been a difficult transition for all of us and we appreciate your patience and support.
Lima Senior currently has 381 students working remotely online from home. Our staff is instructing students who are both in class and those working from home online. This makes for a very difficult balance and additional work for our teachers.
Our teachers are committed to providing quality instruction for all learners, but we as a Lima Senior community must do all we can to help them accomplish this.
Therefore, to provide staff time in their day to focus on online learners, we will be altering our dismissal times beginning Tuesday, Sept. 22.
Students will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Online students who would like to schedule one-on-one assistance should call their grade-level assistant principal, who can help set that up.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I can be reached at 419-996-3775 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fran Mort, Principal
