Results are in and Lima Senior High School again saw great success at the MakerFest competition held recently.
The school took second place in the STEM Maker Cup contest, falling behind only Van Wert High School.
MakerFest, in its third year, was a three-day career expo celebrating advanced manufacturing, engineering, design and the skilled trades. More than 200 Lima Senior and Alternative School students participated, either by competing or attending the expo.

Matthew Burden: First place in Automotive Repair
Austin Long, Dustin Harruff and Michael Bishop: First place in Explosion Minecraft
Tre’von Bowman, Ahmaad Conley and Latrell Moore: First place in Tinker Toy Showdown
Amy Dubuque: First and fifth place in Photo Manipulation
Elizabeth Walter: Third and fifth place in Graphic Design
Dylan Booth, Jayion White and Ja’mieonte Wilson: Fourth place in Advanced Carpentry
Andre Manley, Sofia Restivo and Micah Rex: Fifth place in Advanced Carpentry
Ashawnty Staples: Fourth place in Excavator Rodeo
Caleb Dugan, Tyron Starks and Deklen Davis: Sixth place in Bike Physics Challenge
Riley Davenport, Anna Hahn and Shawnteona Worthington: Fifth place in Airplane Showdown
Many Lima Senior students scored in the top half of the field of competitors in a number of contests.
